Don't turn your back for a second

This is a lesson all moms should know well. Should I ever forget, my girls are quick to remind me. They beautified themselves with my makeup. Their favorite was the mascara. Apparently it makes wonderful eyebrow liner, and also looks good all over the face.
As you can see, the carpet got beautified as well. Luckily it has mostly come out, and I haven't hit it yet with the steam cleaner.

All I could do was laugh. In a strange way, it helped me today. It took my mind off the dumb things that seem to trouble us adults.
Oh, the joy of childhood.

Waterfun!

We got a fun little pool! It has a whale slide that sprays water out the blowhole.

The only problem is that I can't get my girls out of their suits when we're at home. They wear them all day, asking to put them on right after breakfast and resisting taking them off to get ready for bed. They spend most of their day playing in the water and running around the backyard.

At one point Camryn decided to get out and dry out. While standing still in the sunshine, she explained, "Mom, I'm going to get really, really hot! So don't touch me, 'cause the sun's going to make me hot!"

Kendra loves her inflatable giraffe
and Camryn is equally attached
to her colorful zebra.

We are enjoying summertime!

My family loves me

My family is wonderful. They have helped me in so many ways. I never could have made it to this point in my life without them. I am so, so grateful for my family. Each one has been there for me, in any way I have needed. From helping with my kids, to laboring on my house, to offering their love and companionship.
My mom is wonderful. I know she loves me, deeply. She has helped me so much, by listening, offering guidance, and praying for me. She has such a big heart. She shares our burdens. She is such a wonderful grandmother to my girls too.

My dad is awesome too. He works so hard for our family. He has helped so much with my house. He is such a great example of what a father should be. I know he would do anything for any of us.

Each one of my brothers and sisters have dropped things at a moments notice to be here to help me. Each one has made sacrifices on my behalf. Each one has helped me with my girls. They have demonstrated such love. I am so blessed. I couldn't ask for a better family.

It is their support that I need right now. That is why I have chosen to move back to Blackfoot. I am planning on moving at the end of July. They are so excited that we are moving back. They jump at the opportunity to help me and be there for me. The only question I have is--How did I get so lucky?
