First Bite

We fed Corinne real food (if rice cereal can be called real food) for the first time.

First Bite

First Reaction

She got pretty good pretty fast.

Then she started putting her hands in her mouth and sucking on them.

It became challenging to get the spoon in with her hands in the way. Then she would get worked up because you weren't giving her any more.

She was good and messy by the time she was done. She had cereal all over her face, in her nose, up her arms, in her belly button, and on her legs. Overall, she did pretty darn good.

Apparently, this is what happens when you give your children sidewalk chalk.

I don't know what else to say.

Boise Zoo

Our family made a trip to the Boise Zoo.

This was called Wallaby Walkabout. We got to walk through their cage, with all the wallabies.

My poor children. I often make them pose in front of the animals. Animal pictures just get too boring without cute kids in them.

The giraffes were most definitely the favorite of the day.

Kendra pushed Corinne's stroller most of the time.

The girls got to pet some goats.

We saw some really big turtles.

Really big ones.

It was a fun day at the Boise Zoo.

Camping Together

We went on a camping trip back in July. We went with Nicole and Travis and their family in Logan Canyon. It was beautiful. Kent left early Friday morning with our 3 girls and got us a great camping spot. Nicole and her family came up that afternoon, and I made it that night after I got off work.
Nicole ended up watching all the girls by herself for awhile. She is awesome!

We got all 5 girls together again.

The men were able to fish.

Travis is a real pro.

Kent put on all his high tech gear before going out. Those boots are way better than waders..

They are designed to come off with ease, once filled with water.

Travis caught a fish and gave it to us to take home.

It was yummy! Even Camryn and Kendra wanted more..

The girls got to play...

in the van,

in the water,

in the trees.

Kent bought the 3 big girls sunglasses.

We relaxed and enjoyed each others' company, and ate way too much food.

Camryn and I went on a hike, just the two of us. We stopped by this creek. There were tons of butterflies. All different kinds and colors, from lavender, to yellow, to black. Camryn just wanted to sit and watch them fly around us for awhile. It's too bad none of them showed up in the picture.
We really had a fun weekend. Thanks Nicole and Travis for going with us. We definitely want to do it again next year, and invite even more of our family.
