One Year Ago

I have the best husband ever. I never could have imagined that I would find someone like him, someone that fits me so well and treats me so good.

This week has been a perfect example of how good he is to me. I posted about the baby shower I organized. This shower was my idea. We were very limited with dates to have it. I was scheduled 7 strait days with out a day off. On the evening of the 7th day, after I got off work, was the shower... at my house. The day before I was stressing a little and trying to get everything done. Among other things, the biggest to-do that night was cleaning the house. Kent told me not to worry about cleaning, that he would do it the next day while I was at work. He wanted to spend time doing something together. As we were going to bed, he asked what time I was going to get up the next morning. I told him I had to get up early to make cupcakes before work. He said that he would make the cupcakes.
When I got home from work, the house was spotless. He had cleaned, dusted, mopped, and even washed our bed sheets. He had made the cupcakes, and star ice cubes. He helped me right until the shower started, getting set up and food ready and stuff. This shower would have been so much more stress and work without his help. I don't think I could have pulled it off.
The most amazing thing about all of this to me is the fact that I didn't even have to ask. He is so willing to help me. He hold my needs so high.
Besides this, he is such a hard worker, especially on our house. The transformation our house had made over the last year is stunning. He is so talented.
He is an amazing father. He is firm, yet also loving. He is a great teacher. He has built such a great relationship with our kids.
He puts so much effort into all of these things.
There are so many other great things about him. I love him so much and am so grateful to be his wife.

Katrina's Baby Shower

Katrina is an awesome pharmacy technician that I work with. She is the technician that we call at home when we can't get an insurance to process at work. She is the type of technician that says we CAN call her at home, the type of technician that is hard to come by and very valuable. Her husband got accepted in to law school and they will be moving this fall. We are really going to miss her.

She is pregnant right now with their first baby (at least she was still pregnant last I heard, she is pretty close to her due date). We got to throw her a baby shower. She LOVES Care Bears and has quite a collection. It made for a perfect Care Bear baby shower.

Katrina is the pregnant one in black.

We played "Name That Care Bear," "Who is that baby?" (with our baby pictures), and a diaper game.

I think it turned out!

Congratulations Katrina!!! We can't wait to meet your little angel!!!!

Easter in Washington

Nicole and Travis were headed to Washington to visit Taylor and Amanda over Easter weekend. We were so happy when we found out it would work for us to go too.
.

Corinne and Marley finally got to meet. These two are destined to be best friends
(if their moms have any say in it).
.

Marley is 2 months older than Corinne. Two months obviously makes a big difference. Look at how big Marley is!

..................................................I helped Nicole make a Moby-type wrap. We just bought some fabric and viola!
Cute chunky baby wrapped up!

Taylor and Amanda hadn't had a chance to meet Corinne yet.
That awkward looking position is Corinne's favorite. She likes to look at the face of the person holding her.
.
.

We had so much fun hanging out, watching movies, and playing games. The guys even watched the kids one day so Nicole, Amanda, and I could go to Spokane for a day of shopping.

Coloring Easter Eggs
Camryn and Kendra first colored their eggs with crayons before we dyed them.
Kent and Nicole helped too.
Finished product.

Easter Egg Hunt

The girls are ready to go!

Corinne enjoyed the Easter egg hunt too, just like this.

Amanda fed us so well. Among other things, she made some cinnamon rolls that were OUT OF THIS WORLD! On Easter, she made a wonderful pork tenderloin with red potatoes, rolls, veggies, and a strawberry fruit salad. It was AMAZING.
What a pretty cook!
Here is Travis, Nicole, Amanda, and Taylor enjoying our Easter meal.
We were sad to leave. We had such a good time. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family. But we had to pack up and head out.
It was a 7 hour drive. We are lucky our girls travel so well.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and had time to remember our Savior, that he died and lives for us.

Happy Easter
