My Valentine's Day

Both Kent and I had to work on Valentine's Day. I worked from 9:00 to 1:00 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He worked from 3:00 am to 4:30 pm in Clearfield, Utah and had to work the following day at 3:00 am. My girls are with their dad this weekend. So I was going to drive to Utah after I got off work so Kent and I could have a special dinner together on Valentine's Day.

Earlier this week Kent did a satellite install at a home in Twin Falls. He later told me he left a very expensive tool there, but the people were out of town until Saturday. He asked if I could run over and pick it up for him before heading to Utah.
Valentine's Day came. We talk that morning about when I can leave town and such. I call him from work to get the address for the home I was to stop at. He tells me it is a yellow house and they run some kind of business out of it. I head there on the way home. As I pull up to the address, I see that the yellow house is Purity Day Spa. I wonder....no, just go in and pick up his stuff. I go in and tell the girl I am there to pick something up for Kent. She tells me to wait, that she will be right back. She comes back and tells me that I am not there to pick anything up. I am there for a facial, pedicure, and full body massage.
I am a little early, so she tells me to have a seat. I texted him. I was so shocked, I don't even remember what I said. He tells me to enjoy, and when I'm done to head strait to Utah because he can't wait to see me.
The next 3 hours were heavenly.
I leave the spa between 4 and 4:30. He had sent me a text and asked if I was on the road yet. I called him on the way to my house. I told him I had to get my dog situated and throw a few things in the car and would be on my way. I pull into my driveway. I go to the door, unlock and open it. The smell of wonderful food pours out. I step in, and this is what I see

"Oh my gosh!!!" I say it out loud. I haven't even entered my house yet. I walk into my kitchen, there is Kent, all dressed up in slacks and a button up shirt and smelling so good. I hug onto him, tight, and kiss him, and tell him thank you thank you and I love you so much (and other such things).

There are one hundred roses in my dining room, and candles everywhere. He bought all the table linens, candlesticks, glasses, and everything. He made a wonderful meal. A salad with fresh raspberries, grapefruit, walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette, then a shrimp pasta dish, then chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. He made it all himself, even the strawberries.

Before we eat, while I am still hugging and kissing him, I catch a glimpse of a jewelry box on my plate. I get a little nervous. He tries to lead me to the table. He picks up the box and takes out the ring. He tells me how much he loves me, how happy I make him and how he wants to marry me, take me to the temple, and spend forever with me. He gets down on one knee and asks me if I will marry him. I say YES! He puts the ring on my finger and hugs and kisses me.

My ring! I absolutely LOVE IT! I always wanted a beautiful solitaire.

So, I am ENGAGED!!!! I am so happy!!!!

It has been interesting to me how so many people around me have been commenting about how happy I seem all the time. People tell me I have such a happy glow. Kent does make me so happy. He makes me feel so loved. I feel accepted just the way I am. He is the first one that has ever been able to help me feel that way. I love him SO MUCH! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

We headed that evening to Blackfoot to tell my family. They are so excited. They really appreciate the way he treats me and how happy I am. Travis got some pictures of us, the newly engaged couple.

My Valentine

Listen to the song, it says it better than I ever could.

Our Bathroom

Here are the pictures of our bathroom. If you remember my post from 7 months ago, that is when this project began. It has remained untouched since that 4th of July weekend, until Kent came along. He worked really hard to get it all done. There are just a couple odds and ends to finish, but it is pretty much complete. The pictures don't do it justice. He did the tile all by himself. Others told me the design I chose would be too difficult, but he wanted to make it happen for me. He did an amazing job!

I am so HAPPY with the final result!

He also helped me another way yesterday. He watched my girls while I worked. He was quite proud of the four stinky diapers he changed.

Thanks Kent, for the many many ways you have helped me.
