Pajama Party

Our girls wanted to have a pajama party. We agreed and we all got in our pajamas. Kent and I just thought we would watch a movie and eat a treat or something. The girls informed us that, at a pajama party, first you have to turn on music and dance in your pajamas.
So Kent turned on some music. We all danced around the living room.
When we were tired, we calmed down, got comfy, and put a movie on. The girls wanted to lay on the bean bag with their blankets. We ate Dryers Strawberry fruit bars, yummy!

I would say the pajama party was a success. We all had fun. Good idea, girls!

Baby Update: Nothing is happening. I am okay with that, for now.

Valentines Day! One year Later!

It's so hard to believe that its been a year, and yet its also hard to belive its ONLY been a year. It seems like ages ago that Kathleen agreed to marry me....

This Valentines day Kathleen decided she'd pay me back for last year. She went all out. We both had to work that day so we decided just to have a sweet dinner at home. When I got home from work....this is what i saw:

This dinner set up looks a lot like last years. It brought back some fun memories. Let's just say i was impressed. I am one lucky guy!

I beat Kathleen home from work, so i was able to do some snooping. This is what i found in the fridge:

Yeap! My FAVORITE!! I know to a novice they look like Ding Dongs, but... let's just say i'm no novice. Those are homemade PEANUT BUTTER CUPS!!! Yum! Yum!

I know! I know! But I DID already tell you that i'm a lucky man! And just to show off a little bit more, here is my beautiful wife getting my AMAZING steak ready! And pics of the hearts my two beautiful girls made for me. Camryn wrote "I Love you to: daddy from: Camryn" in her own writing... Not to be out done Kendra wrote I love you. (It looked like three small, small circles) which was WAY cute!

Well, I love my Wife and I love my girls! They really are amazing. I'm so glad that Kathleen agreed to marry me a year ago. I can't imagine my life without her. Our family has grown closer and closer over the past year and i'm excited for the next one. I know that it will be full of more great memories.

Baby Shower

Joy, Kent's mom, decided to throw us an open house for the baby. With the help of her daughter-in-law, Candice, they pulled off a wonderful event.

They went all out, with decorations and wonderful food. It was at Joy's house, in Utah.
.
It was an open house, so people were to able come, watch me open their present, eat some food, and visit as long as they wanted.
After I opened something, it was put on display for everyone to see. It was so cute!

Joy made the baby LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of blankets. She made us 6 quilts and 6 flannel blankets with about 12 matching burp clothes (I might be off on the numbers a little bit-but there were LOTS). Our baby definitely won't be going cold.
This bear quilt is probably our favorite.
My mom, my sister Mickell, and my sister Nicole all came.
My mom made me the ADORABLE pink and brown flannel rag quilt. I LOVE IT!!!!
There were lots of little girls there. We had our two girls as well as their cousins and Kent's cousins and friends kids. They had fun helping me with the gifts. A little too much fun. Sometimes a gift would be open before it even got to me.
They had lots of fun with all the balloons too!
Julie and her husband Jason have been long time friends of Kent's. Kent and Jason go clear back to high school days. We just love them to death!
The baby in some of the pictures is Nicole's little Marley. She is growing and changing so fast. She is already four weeks old.
Here is most of our gifts. We sure got spoiled. We got lots of clothes, and blankets, and diapers, and a baby bath, a carseat cover--pretty much everything we still needed for the baby. Kent sure has generous friends and family. We feel so blessed.
.
Somehow, I missed getting a picture of Joy. I hope she knows how much we appreciate all she does for us.
.
While us girls were enjoying the shower, Kent went to Nicole and Travis' house to help Travis replace a drop down tile ceiling with sheetrock. This involved working on the lighting and all sorts of stuff.
This also meant that after the shower we got to their house.
Kendra loves holding Marley. She is so excited to be a big sister soon.
.
.
We got home really late that night, but it was well worth it. We had a great time. We love being able to spend time with our friends and family.
.
We hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day yesterday. We sure did. Valentines day will always be special for us, since it is the day Kent proposed. Hopefully I'll get to doing a post about how we celebrated. I love the opportunity this holiday gives us to show those we love how much they mean to us.
.
Since last summer, when the girls have asked when the baby is coming, we have told them they have to wait until after Valentine's Day, but after that the baby will be close. Please baby, be close.

Let's make a new rule

This is Camryn's new thing.

The other day, I tell her that we are going to have spaghetti for dinner. Spaghetti is her favorite.

She says, "Hey mom, let's make a new rule: that we have spaghetti every night for dinner! Can we make that a rule, mommy?"

Usually it is something like this, that is not very practical. I have to explain to her why we shouldn't make that a rule. Once or twice she has come up with something good, like hugs and kisses every night before bed. When I tell her we can make that a rule, she gets pretty excited. She says,"Okay then, it is a rule!"
